We’re proud to be deeply involved with several organizations in our home community of Oak Cliff, along with schools and non-profits around the Metroplex. A few of our nearest and dearest events and organizations include:
Bastille on Bishop

Crepe line at the 2014 Bastille on Bishop
What started as an annual lawn party at our family home in Oak Cliff has evolved into Bastille on Bishop—the largest French festival in North Texas. C’est vrai! (it’s true!). When our Mom Pierrette (a cook and hostess extraordinaire) moved to Oak Cliff a decade ago, she began throwing an annual celebration of the French national holiday. Before long, the attendance got so big that we couldn’t accommodate another guest. So five years ago we partnered with The Go Oak Cliff Team to turn our informal bash into a full-fledged community event. Bastille on Bishop draws thousands of attendees each July 14th and continues to grow. Learn more in this New York Times article about the most recent Bastille on Bishop as well as the fascinating history of French culture in Dallas. If you’ve never been to Bastille on Bishop, we hope you’ll join us next year. Vive le 14 Juillet!
Crepes on Campus: Our Interactive Community Education Concept
We’re excited to be in the planning stages to launch an innovative concept aimed at helping local kids learn French while having fun! We’ll be working with public and private schools in the DFW area to offer students a no-cost, interactive approach to learning French. We’ll be creating an interactive, on-campus experience centered on our food truck and tailored to each teacher’s preferences. We can provide sessions ranging from a simple crêpe party to a more elaborate event with students ordering in French. For more advanced learners, we’ll offer classes on running a food business or even provide a short cooking lesson in French. This concept will allow local French teachers to spare the cost of a field trip while giving students a true ‘taste’ of French language and culinary culture. Please contact us to learn more.
